Current Everyday Make Up Routine - Perfect for Work.

If your anything like me, you may be slightly time-poor in the mornings. Whether it is due to a morning work out or just hit that snooze button one too many times.

I thought I would share my go to make up look/routine which takes me little to no time at all to achieve a polished natural look.

I tend to keep it fairly simple and focus on my base, making sure my skin looks as flawless as possible.

Obviously the base will always start with moisturiser & primer. I am yet to find a day time moisturiser that I love. I tend to switch up my primer quite regularly - at the moment I am really enjoying the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer.

Recently I have been wearing Nude by Nature Liquid Foundation in the shade Medium. At first this looks a little too dark but once blended it looks very natural. This foundation is light wearing and a medium coverage. I had a strange consistency to apply but I have found using my fingers is the best & easiest way to apply it.

Next I apply my concealer - I don't care how little time I have, I am always doing to find time for concealer. Maybelline Age Rewind in Light. This quick easy step for me is a game changer. I blend this out with a damp beauty blender.

Finally to perfect a flawless base, I set with my Nude by Nature Mineral Finishing Veil Powder. This is a light almost translucent powder & works wonders at perfecting & finishing the base.

As far as eyes and lips go - I keep it very neutral and basic. This makes it very suitable for everyday work and also a lot quicker.

My go to eyes consist of a combination of natural Make Up Geek Shadows - my favourites being Beaches & Cream and Peach Smoothie. These are great to lighten to eye area and add a little definition into the crease. Finishing off the look with my Essence Get Big Lash Mascara.

Now for the rest of the face, a quick bronze with my Inglot 505 Bronzer & a little colour on the cheeks - I have been obsessed with Make Up Geek Bliss lately. Not to forget the brows, my go to product is a MAC eye shadow in the shade Braun. I apply this using a small angled brush.

If I am feeling like I want to switch it up,  I will generally add a little colour to either my lids or lips but generally not too far out of the neutral colour family.

I know this may seem like a lot of make up or steps for a quick everyday routine.. but trust me - once you do it everyday, its very quick and easy.

I hope this helps you with your morning work routines to achieve a stunning flawless face.

Priceline 40% Off Haul - November 2015

I originally went into Priceline with the intention to only purchase 1 or 2 items, obviously everything went out the window & I blew my budget. Spending to save money - Girl logic, right!

I thought seeing as I spent $75.46, I thought I might as well do a haul post.

My 2 items which I wanted to purchase was a Models Prefer Face Brush & Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer.

I ended up picking up 2 Models Prefer Face Brushes - the MPA1-4 Airbrush Concealer Brush & the MPA103 Airbrush Buffing Brush. I have heard good things about these brushes and thought it was the perfect opportunity to purchase & see for my self.

The Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer is one of my all time favourite concealers - I would almost say that I prefer it over my NARS Creamy Concealer. I purchased the Age Rewind in Fair, I normally purchase light but this wasn't in stock. (I think they cancelled that shade?) I love to use this to conceal/highlight my face.

Next I picked up a few more of the Australis Metallix Eyeshadows - I already own Perl Jammin & love the look & texture of these. I picked up Guns & Rose Petals (possible Stilla Kitten Dupe?) as well as Jay Zed. And only just now have I realised they are all named based on bands - talk about slow to the party lol!

The next 3 items I picked up are the;

Loreal Lumiere Eyeshadow in Gold Mania (rumoured to be a close dupe to Mac Oh Darling) - it is an amazing gold dusty colour, very finely milled and blends out beautifully. I will be using this as a highlight.

Models Prefer Brush Cleaner, I saw this product as I was leaving and had heard it was a great spot cleaner to use during makeup application. No sooner than I removed the product I was hit with an intensely potent smell. I will be interested to see if this has any irritation towards my skin.

Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Bold Matte Lip Colour,  I have seen these on the market for a while and never really been tempted as I am not a major matte fan. I did however like the colour - Fire Corail - I thought this would be perfect for when I attend Taylor Swifts concert next month. Shopping with a purpose at its best :).

Below are swatches of the Australis Metallix & Loreal Lumiere Shadows.

Make sure you leave me a comment & let me know what you purchased at this 40% off sale.

Review: Rimmel BB Radiance and Lasting Finish 25HR Powder

Rimmel have launched two new products recently, The first being a new addition to the current BB cream line, BB Radiance - Rimmel’s first skin-perfecting makeup that illuminates skin with a natural, healthy looking glow! This product is available in three shades. (Very Light, Light & Medium – I am using Medium)

The second product is a 25hr lasting powder, available in four shades. (01 Light Porcelain, 02 Soft Beige, 03 Silky Beige and 05 Warm Honey - I am using soft beige)

I initially had been using these products together as I much prefer a matte finish & have found previously when using other BB creams that I was left feeling greasy and heavy feeling. However I have found this BB cream sits quiet well on my skin & I did actually receive a few comments around the ‘glowyness’ of my face.

The BB cream claims to have a 9 in 1 formula that primes, smooths, conceals, minimizes pores, moisturizes, brightens, provides natural coverage, and awakens tired skin. The formula is also meant to contain a Vitamin C Complex which awakens tired skin, along with an SPF 20 to protect.

The Lasting Finish powder is a powder to foundation formula - my favourite of all powder formulas. I enjoy that this powder is quite light on the skin but also very buildable for additional coverage as it claims.

I have been enjoying the finish of these products whilst used together, finding they provide a light coverage which still allows for a very fresh & flawless glow. It is the perfect base for my 'no make up make up' look for those days when I want to look put together but want to put in minimal effort - or on those days when I press that snooze button one too many times.

Below is a swatch of the BB cream in the shade Medium. It at first appears a tad too dark for me but once blended into the skin is an ok match. I found applying this product with my fingers worked the best for me.

And Before & After photos with the BB cream & both BB cream & Lasting Finish Powder.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave me a comment with any questions you have about this product or if you have used it, please tell me your thoughts.
